Second case of COVID-19 in Morris County

Morris County Judge Doug Reeder has confirmed a second positive case of COVID-19 in Morris County His statement is below:

"We received confirmation this afternoon from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) that a resident of Morris County has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus. This is the second confirmed case in Morris County. DSHS is taking all necessary actions in response to this matter. This is not unexpected; as more people are tested more people will test positive. We must continue our practices of social distancing, staying at home unless it is absolutely essential to be out and heightened sanitation measures. I want to take this time to encourage and challenge everyone to continue to respond in a positive way. The success of the social distancing measures is up to the citizens of Morris County. The more we comply with the measures the more quickly we can get back to normal."
