Good news for the weary
Some of you woke up this morning carrying a heaviness you didn’t sign up for. Maybe it’s the worry that clings like a shadow, doubt that gnaws at your faith, or sadness that won’t shake loose. Perhaps sickness has become too familiar, wrapping around your days like an unwelcome guest. Possibly, heartbreak has knocked the wind out of you, leaving you gasping for hope.
Stumbling soup and flying confetti
There I was, parked in my car during street ministry, my windows slightly fogged from the contrast of the cold outside and the heater blowing inside. My supplies included socks, hand warmers, lip balm, blankets, and a stash of encouragement. My goal was simple: to connect with those who needed a little hope.
Warm toes and warm fingers
Irounded the corner, peering out the car window. A flicker of movement caught my eye—a figure darting up from the thicket with a quick, deliberate motion, only to duck back down. My heart skipped. Who was that?
