Fourth positive COVID-19 case in Morris County
Morris County now has four confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, according to County Judge Doug Reeder.
"Today, Thursday, April 16, 2020, I was notified by the Department of State Health Services of a fourth positive case of COVID19 in Morris County. At this time there is no known connection between this patient and the other three positive cases in Morris County. However, public health authorities are working to identify anyone the individual may have come into contact with in the last few days. In addition, I have notified the proper local authorities so that they can take all necessary action to keep our citizens safe.
As I said last week, this is not unexpected. The more tests that are performed the more positive cases will be identified. However, it is important to note that this individual is a 28 year old male. This should clearly illustrate that this disease is not just a problem for our older citizens. We are all at risk. Please continue to abide by the social distancing guidelines. And rest assured that I sincerely appreciate everything you are doing to help contain the virus.
Thank you,"
Doug Reeder
