Daniel Scott Walker

Funeral services for Daniel Scott Walker, 46 of Daingerfield, were held Nov. 9 at South Union Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Roberts and Bro. Chad Thompson officiating. Services were under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield.

Daniel was born on Oct. 5, 1975 in Atlanta to Charles and Karen Walker. He passed away on Wednesday evening, Nov. 3, in Daingerfield.

Daniel was a 1994 graduate of McKinney High School and was proud of his Lion Pride. He had been involved with the Community Theatre of East Texas in Hughes Springs and was a member of Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church. He had a love for football and especially loved the Daingerfield

Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys.

Daniel was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Colton Walker; paternal grandparents, Thomas Benson and Wilma Gene Walker; and maternal grandparents, C.W. and Julia Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Walker of Daingerfield; children: Jonah, Rachael, and Anistyn Walker all of Daingerfield; parents, Charles and Karen Walker of Daingerfield; sister, Amber Walker of Daingerfield; and twin nieces, Emma and Lanie Walker of Daingerfield. Daniel’s cousins served as pall bearers, and the 2021 Daingerfield High School varsity football team were honorary pallbearers.
