DYESS

Funeral service for Ronald “Ron” Dyess, 62, of Hainesville, were held Aug. 8 at Lake Fork Baptist Church with Brother Perry Crisp officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.

Ronald Wayne Dyess was born January 6, 1956 in Levelland, Texas to Billy Wayne Dyess and Cliffie Roberts Dyess Tucker. Ron lived in the Hainesville community for 5 years, moving from Hughes Springs. He was a member at Lake Fork Baptist Church in Alba and was a retired Baptist Minister and Funeral Director. Ron loved to sing and play the piano.

Ron passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 5 in Tyler.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Dyess, and his brother in law, Jerry Garrett.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 34 years, Janice Dyess of Hainesville; son, Matt Dyess and wife Chloe of Hughes Springs; mother, Cliffie Roberts Dyess Tucker of Hainesville; sister, Cecilia Garrett of Hainesville; two grandchildren, Greyson and Conor Dyess; nieces and nephews, Emily and Scott Bonds, Victoria Stretcher, and James Frank Stretcher; mother and father in law, James and Carolyn Edwards; sister in law, Paula Stretcher; and a host of friends and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers are James Frank Stretcher, Mika Roberts, Mike Morgan, Dan Bolin, Richard Watkins, Brad Low, Brian Nabors, and Greg Low.

Honorary pallbearer is Will Adams.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in memory of Ron to Rose of Texas Hospice, East Texas Hospice, or Lake Fork Baptist Church Building Fund.
