Joanne Hahn Hogle was born Feb. 24, 1939 in Pekin, Ill. to Walter Edward Hahn, Sr. and Irene Glenn Peterson Hahn. She passed away March 27 in Waco. Joanne was a dental technician in the Navy, a Vietnam Veteran, and firmly believed in running a tight ship. She shared many stories of participating in a Navy sting operation called “The Wave, a Kiss and a Cop”. She was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and American Spirit Honor Medal. Joanne played first base for her softball team in the Navy, they nicknamed her “Stretch.” She was a member of the American Legion for many years and VFW Post 1890.
Services for Stephen Glenn Shaw, 60 of Longview, were held March 23 at First United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Cornett Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Shaw was born March 10, 1962 in Lubbock. He passed away March 20.
