Sherry Reenae (Malone) Rodgers of Longview passed away May 30 at her home at the age of 64. She was born Dec. 21, 1956, in Plain Dealing, La. to parents Jewel Edwin Malone and Mary Oletta (Hilburn) Malone.
HUGHES SPRINGS-----Services for Tommy Johns, 81 of Pittsburg, were held May 21 at Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg. Burial followed at Cross Roads Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Johns was born March 2, 1940 in Cass County and passed away May 15. Robert Thomas “Tommy” Vaughan, of Mexia, passed away May 19 in Waco at the age of 83. Funeral services were May 23 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Norcross officiating. Masonic burial rites followed in the Mexia Cemetery.
John El Armstrong was born Nov. 29, 1932 to John Robert and Lorene Armstrong. He passed away May 13. Graveside services were held Sunday, May 16 at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Stratton officiating. Services were under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
Joyce Ann Greening was born to Inez and Sidney Stinnett on Oct. 16, 1950 in Hot Springs, Ark. She died surrounded by her loving children on April 22 outside of Birmingham, Ala. She lived most of her life in Hughes Springs, where she made her home with her husband, Jack Greening, who preceded her in death in 2017.
