To say I have been through a lot recently would be an understatement. In the last nine months, I have lost two very important people in my life. Over the course of my lifetime, there have been many more that I have lost. If there is one thing I have learned from all of the loss, it is that every loss and ever season of grief is different, yet they are all the same.

The best way to recover from mental anguish stemming from such things as slothfulness, jealousy, arrogance, self-loathing, resentment, pride, anger, and hate, is to think about what we are thinking and meditate on why we think about and do the things we do. In other words, take it all to the Lord in prayer. Are our thoughts and actions beautiful or ugly?

Tips for many happy returns

Thousands upon thousands of packages will be appearing on doorsteps in the next couple of days as part of the surge of shopping that comes with Amazon Prime Day. Shoppers flocked to Amazon’s virtual storefront and the storefronts of other retailers this week in the hopes of securing discounted household items, clothing, electronics, and other popular items. But not every customer will be entirely happy with the products which eventually arrive at their door, and many items will likely be returned.
