Kids all across America have headed back for another school year. Some are glad (especially the youngsters who think they are “ big”), then some not so glad (older kids who think school is boring). However, I bet the parents are, for the most part, happy school is back in session.
A few weeks ago, the “National Voter Registration Day” was observed. I’m a strong believer in civic responsibility like serving on jury duty and voting at the local, state and national levels. I don’t take this country’s freedoms for granted, and freedom of the ballot is important to me. My ancestors died for the freedom to cast a ballot. I know that voting allows me to have a choice in the policies and laws we live by. However, many do not hold my belief.
