NTCC receives $20,000 for Shelby Restoration Center
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $20,000 gift from the East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF). The funds were made available to the College by the ETCF through a planned gift from the estate of the late Burt and Nancy Marans, formerly of Pittsburg. This donation will contribute to the new Shelby Restoration Center that will soon be built on the NTCC campus. CASA welcomes newest advocate
CASA of Titus, Camp and Morris Counties is pleased to welcome Jessica Hitt. Jessica took an oath before the Honorable Judge Rolston in Titus County on April 16. Jessica completed 30 hours of training and courtroom observation. Jessica is the newest CASA volunteers who have accepted her first case and advocating for children that are in the foster care system. CASA volunteers work for the best interest of the child/ children making sure they have a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible. CASA volunteers are citizens in our community, just like you, that want to make a difference in a child/children’s lives while they are removed from their families and placed in foster care.
