The Northeast Texas Chapter of Project Linus celebrated National Make a Blanket Day with a gathering of volunteers on Feb. 21 at Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. Blanketeers, as they are called in the Project Linus organization, both experienced and new were able to make a blanket to be given to a child in crisis.
A Daingerfield man was arrested following a hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian on Feb. 17. At approximately 8:19 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Broadnax Street and Webb Street.
The annual Fairy Dust Princess Ball was hosted by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) last month at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center.
