More than 400 community members visited Hughes Springs Junior High on Monday night to experience a campus wide transformation into a winter wonderland, complete with a Whoville village and the Grinch’s lair.
The Lone Star Christmas Parade drew large crowds to downtown streets Thursday evening, as spectators lined the route to watch dozens of festive floats pass by.
The Morris County Commissioners Court met Monday, Dec. 8, at 9 a.m. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a prayer. The court accepted the minutes from the November meeting, then approved the monthly financial reports, monthly bills and corrected reports from October 2025.
Following Saturday’s Christmas parade, residents made their way to the city park for the annual tree lighting ceremony and holiday festivities.
