On Wednesday, August 20, Mary Jane Smith became one of the few centenarians in Morris County. The State of Texas even recognized her 100 years, with the official signature of State Representative Gary VanDeaver.
Regional water planners have reached a mediated agreement on the future of the proposed Marvin Nichols Reservoir in the Sulphur River Basin The agreement is much awaited positive news for Northeast Texas landowners that have long fought the progress of the projected $7 billion project that would force local landowners to abandon generational farms and ranches.
On Thursday, August 8, the City of Daingerfield sent out an update about the water safety in the city, in regards to the free chlorine conversion currently underway.
On Friday, August 1, the red ribbon was cut for an events venue– a hidden gem along the country roads of northern Titus County.
