The recently formed police department for Northeast Texas Community College is now stepping into its third month and working on expanding the force, as well as improving the safety for all students and staff on campus.

On Sunday, December 8, Omaha Fire and Rescue held their annual Christmas party. While celebrating the holiday season, the Fire Department said they also had guest speaker Kyle McAfee from Forney Fire who spoke about what it means to be someone worth watching.
Daingerfield’s 2024 football season came to a disappointing end on Friday night in Palestine as the Woodville Eagles shocked the Tigers, 407. Coach Davin Nelson’s squad finishes the season at 8-6 after opening the year 1-5. Woodville’s best season in its history will continue this week as the Eagles (12-2) face Tidehaven (12-2) in the state semifinals. The winner would advance to the Class 3A, Division 2 state championship next week to face the winner between Wall (131) and Gunter (12-2).
On Monday, December 2, the annual Daingerfield Christmas parade made its way through the downtown area of the city, bringing on holiday cheer and festivities for people of all ages.
