Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular April meeting on Tuesday, April 29th. The board received Stephanie Thurman’s intent to resign in March and formally accepted her resignation at the April meeting. Following her resignation, board members unanimously approved Dr. Gerald Stagg to be appointed to fill the Place 5 vacancy.
Thanks to the generosity of its supporters, the Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Foundation raised $291,679 from 256 donors during East Texas Giving Day on Tuesday, April 28.
Northeast Texas Community College recently received a memorial gift that will impact students for generations to come. Dr. Kevin Rose, NTCC President, and his wife, Tracie, presented the NTCC Foundation with a $10,000 check to establish the Paula Rose Memorial Scholarship.
Friends and family of Chuck and Sarah Johns recently made a generous $59,000 gift to establish the Chuck and Sarah Johns Memorial Scholarship at Northeast Texas Community College. The endowed scholarship will benefit students from Camp County, with a special emphasis on those pursuing degrees in education.
