Landaverde and Hamlin win prestigious Walter B. Cooper Scholarships

Araceli Landaverde and Sarah Hamlin were among sixteen winners of the prestigious Walter B. Cooper Scholarships. The Walter B. Cooper scholarship winners were announced at the end of the Phi Theta Kappa Texas Leadership Conference. Winners have demonstrated themselves to be well-rounded individuals with active participation in areas reflecting the four hallmarks of Phi Theta Kappa: scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.

NTCC Theatre to present A 1940s Christmas Carol at the Whatley Center

The Northeast Texas Community College Theatre Department will bring a festive dose of laughter and nostalgia to the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts with its upcoming production of A 1940s Christmas Carol. The show, written and directed by Dr. Page Petrucka, Professor of Theatre, runs November 13–15 at 7 p.m., with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, November 15 at 2 p.m.

Tigers win 5th straight with 72-16 victory over Hughes Springs

The district leading Daingerfield Tigers kept their district record perfect at 5-0 this week with a dominant 72-16 win over the Hughes Springs Mustangs Standout QB Isaiah Parker fueled the Tigers offense in the win with 280 yards passing for five touchdowns and tacked on another 55 yards with his feet for a combined 335 yards of total yards from scrimmage.
