Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is proud to announce that 100% of its recent Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) graduates have successfully passed the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) on their first attempt. This remarkable achievement underscores the high quality of education and training provided by NTCC’s PTA program.
NTCC got on the board in the first inning with a three run first inning to set the pace for the game. Jake Farris (Lafayette, LA) would reach on a bunt single to start the game. Boston Seahorn (Big Sandy, TX) would move Farris to second with base hit himself. A passed ball would advance both runners to put runners on second and third with no outs. First baseman, Jonathon Gonzalez (Kyle, TX) would draw a walk to load the bases. A ground out double play would score Farris to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Braden Duff (Mount Pleasant, TX) would reach on an error and plate Seahorn for the second run. Dereck Martinez would force an error by the Centerfielder to score Duff to make the score 3-0 Eagles after one inning of play.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers opened the 2025 softball season with back-to-back scrimmage victories over Ore City and Harleton.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers concluded their basketball season at home back on Tuesday, Feb. 4 with a 66-55 loss to Hughes Springs. The 55 points was the most scored by Daingerfield this season. A 48-16 win over Elysian Fields in the season opener way back on Nov. 5 was their previous highest score.
The Daingerfield Tiger varsity baseball team, thanks to solid pitching performances, eased past Waskom, 13-0, and James Bowie, 19-1, in scrimmages last week at home. Coach Jermaine Mitchell’s Tigers hurled 14 strikeouts in each of the two games.
