A Daingerfield man was arrested Aug.17 in connection with a shooting in Omaha the same day.
Six injured in wreck
At about 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on August 2, the lives of the Rangel family from Chapel Hill was changed in a “ jaw-dropping” experience. In swerving to miss an 18 wheeler, Mrs. Rangel, driving the family’s Chevrolet suburban at about 55 miles per hour, crashed heavily into a light pole. The impact was so severe that the Jaws of Life device had to be used to extract at least one child, and three of the children had to be air lifted to various hospitals.
