The holiday season is a time for friends and family to gather. For deployed servicemen and women, gathering with family at Christmas time may not be an option. Thanks to Daingerfield Junior High School, a local non-profit group was able to send Christmas cheer to more local deployed service members.
Daingerfield attorney Nelson Roach and Gilmer attorney Brent Goudarzi obtained a $730 million verdict in Titus County on November on behalf of the family of a 73-year-old Pittsburg woman who was killed when the top of her car was ripped off by a submarine propeller being hauled by an overloaded tractor-trailer, finding the transporters were negligent while carrying the wide-load cargo.
Dr. Page Petrucka, Associate Professor of Theatre at Northeast Texas Community College, recently debuted her production “A 1940s Christmas Carol”. Ms. Petrucka wrote this last summer during Covid.
The Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce will soon be holding their annual Crystal Globe Awards banquet, and they are seeking input from the community for two of their annual awards.
