Congressman Nathaniel Moran (TX-01) released the following statement March 30 after H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, passed the House of Representatives by a 225-204 vote: “Earlier this week during my monthly tele-town hall, I asked East Texans how they felt about current energy prices, with 94% of the respondents stating that they were indeed concerned about the rising costs. Since day 1 of his Administration, President Biden has waged a war on American energy producers and workers, which led immediately to skyrocketing prices at the pump and unforgiving energy bills for American families. Discouraging domestic energy production while promoting energy jobs overseas increases our dependence on foreign countries and weakens our national security. The United States has abundant energy resources and it’s past due to unleash our energy production.
