Northeast Texas Community College has been furthering education since 1985, and the college hosted its 40th Anniversary Picnic on October 4 at the NTCC campus in Mount Pleasant. The celebration featured live music, free food and food trucks, pickleball and cornhole tournaments, a car show, face painting, and more.

Roger Delacruz and Jacquelyn Moreno were crowned Homecoming King and Queen at DHS. Ceremonies were held prior to the Daingerfield Tigers’ Homecoming matchup with Redwater. The Tigers put a fitting end to the evening, posting a 63-13 win over the Dragons

On Wednesday, October 1, the Lone Star Police Department put out an arrest warrant for Johnny Lee Hassell, a prime suspect in a trailer theft and the father of Malachi Hassell, who was arrested by LSPD a few days prior.
