Gov. Abbott issues stay at home order for non-essential workers

On March 31, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed an Executive Order implementing Essential Services and Activities Protocols for the entire state of Texas. The protocols direct all Texans to minimize non-essential gatherings and in-person contact with people who are not in the same household. Abbott’s orders impacted local businesses, schools, and more. The new regulations fall in line with calls from President Donald Trump that social distancing requirements be extending through the month of April, at least.
