As a child growing up, I remember having animals. We had a little bit of everything: dogs, cats, rabbits, pigs, chickens. At one time, we even had a goat. Though I would call us ranchers, we were most definitely animal lovers.
Texas has the fourthlowest nurse-to- population ratio in the country, with only 9.25 nurses per 1,000 residents, according to a recent report by the comptroller’s office.
We must go to God first. We know what happens when we go elsewhere. We find ourselves out there struggling, mad, frustrated, and alone, living in the middle of the ways of the world. Maybe we find ourselves drunk or in affair doing something God would not lead us to do.
There are many songs about mothers, and their uncanny ways of being all things to everyone in their lives. But one song has really stuck out to me over the last several months.
Early voting began Monday for local elections and two proposed constitutional amendments relating to property tax reductions. Early voting continues through Tuesday, May 3, with election day on Saturday, May 7.
