We live in a world of instant gratification. From microwavable food, to next day delivery on most items, we seem to have become a society of “I want it now, so I get it now.”

Eligible Texas voters who have not done so already have until April 7 to register to vote in the May 7 statewide constitutional amendment election, as well as any local elections for city, school districts and other local entities.

I will not spend the rest of my life on the couch watching television. I realize and accept that much, if not most of the TV programming these days is made primarily to sell product and normalize the ways of the world.
