The Daingerfield Tigers faced off with the Hughes Springs Mustangs Friday, April 2 in Hughes Springs. After the dust settled on a low-scoring affair, the Tigers came home with the 3-2, come-from-behind win in the district matchup.
Daingerfield hosts Mickey Mayne Relays

The Daingerfield High School Athletic Department hosted their annual Mickey Mayne Relays at Mickey Mayne Stadium on April 1. Daingerfield’s varsity girls placed first with 160 points, just ahead of Pittsburg, who scored 144.5. Mount Vernon finished third, followed by Prairiland, Cumby, Miller Grove, Como Pickton, and Winona. Varsity boys saw Mount Vernon finish first (162), followed by Pittsburg and Prairland. Daingerfield (94) finished fourth, while Winona, Miller Grove, Como Pickton, and Cumby rounded out the field.
