Brahma track third at Hileman Relays
The Pewitt Brahmas track team traveled to Queen City March 17 to take part in the JK Hileman Relays. Joining the Brahmas were the host Bulldogs, New Boston, Union Grove, Maud, McLeod, Harleton and Bloomburg.

The Hughes Springs Mustangs continued their winning ways, despite being on spring break, as they defeated Como-Pickton on March 15 in a non-league matchup. Hughes Springs scored five in the first and seven in the second as they held Como-Pickton hitless as the Mustangs rolled to the 12-0 win.

After rough starts to the district schedule against Redwater, the Pewitt baseball and softball teams hoped to bounce back last week against Atlanta and New Boston, with softball also meeting DeKalb.
The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs have been taking it to their opponents of late, scoring a whopping 51 runs over their last three games while holding Daingerfield, New Diana, and White Oak to a combined one run.
