Brahmas need wins in final two games, help, to set up 3-way tie
It most certainly has not been the season the Pewitt Brahmas expected on the gridiron. A team that is used to creating its own history now must work to finish strong to prevent setting a record it does not want.
Tigers honor former player, then defeat Bulldogs to remain atop district standings
The Daingerfield Tigers have placed themselves in good position heading into the last two games of the regular season after a 48-12 win over Queen City on Oct. 21. The Tigers remained undefeated in district play as they continued their four-game winning streak.
Tigert competes at State Fair of Texas
Daingerfield FFA member Jordan Tigert traveled to the State Fair of Texas in Dallas Oct. 14 - 17 to exhibit her Santa Gertrudis cattle in both the open and junior livestock shows. In the Open Show, she exhibited her animals against several of the largest Santa Gertrudis ranches in the nation, placing ninth and twelfth in her classes. In the Junior Show, Jordan, a Daingerfield High School sophomore, placed third in class with her heifer, Gracie Mae, and seventh in class with her other heifer, Strawberry. Mustangs notch second win of season, remain in playoff hunt
The Hughes Springs Mustangs had to wait until their seventh game of the season to notch their first win, but have now posted their second win in two weeks and find themselves battling for the fourth playoff spot in District 11-3A.
