The Daingerfield Junior High Lady Tigers have opened their season on the volleyball court. Unfortunately for the Lady Tigers, the first two matches have ended in more losses than wins.
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times” opens the Charles Dickens classic, A Tale of Two Cities. It could easily be used to describe the Hughes Springs Mustangs game against Jefferson on Sept. 15. After staking themselves to an 18-0 lead at halftime, the Mustang offense sputtered in the second half, allowing Jefferson to take the 35-24 win.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers welcomed the Lady Titans from Trinity School of Texas to Jesse Hanson Gymnasium on Sept. 13. The Lady Tigers walked away from the matchup with their first regular season victories.
