Daingerfield Tennis made their rounds Feb. 25 in the TTCA Regional tournament. They began the day at Letourneau, then over to Hallsville, and finished the day in Pine Tree. Daingerfield was fourth overall.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers softball team has opened their season, going 1-2 in the first three games. The Lady Tigers dropped the opener at Tatum, 18-2, on Feb. 15 before walloping Maud, 22-7, on Feb. 18 at home. The Lady Tigers then faced off against Jefferson in Jefferson Feb. 21, falling in a close matchup, 18-17.
Daingerfield’s Ja’Khyra Connor will compete at the State Powerlifting meet in Corpus Christi March 15-19 Connor was one of 11 Lady Tiger Powerlifters to compete at the Regional Meet that was held at Rice Feb. 26.
Hughes Springs took three to Maud Feb. 24 for a last-chance qualifying meet. Jake Murray and Cole Edwards each finished first in their class.
The Hughes Springs Lady Mustang JV Softball team competed in the Carthage Dawg Fight Tournament in Carthage on Feb. 17, 18, and 19. The team went 6-0, scoring 61 runs and giving up a total of five runs. The JV squad also beat three varsities enroute to their undefeated run. COURTESY PHOTO
