The Pewitt baseball and softball teams kicked off district play at home last week facing a tall order as both squads took on Redwater.
Track season kicked off in Morris County Friday at the annual Doug Sibley Brahma Relays, held Friday at Pewitt’s Brahma Stadium.
The Hughes Springs Mustangs took part in the Highway 11 Tournament held in Winnsboro March 10-12. The Mustangs outscored their opponents, 29-15, to go undefeated in the tournament. All games were held at Winnsboro High School.
Hughes Springs head softball coach Tisha Thompson reached a milestone in the Lady Mustangs’ 12-2 win over Sabine on March 1.
The Hughes Springs Tennis team hosted the Hughes Springs Invitational on March 1 and March 3. Varsity teams participated on March 1, with Junior Varsity playing March 3.
