The Daingerfield Tigers welcomed the Hughes Springs Mustangs to town for an April 1 matchup. The Mustangs weren’t fooling around, as they quickly jumped out in front before coasting to an 8-0 district win.
The Pewitt baseball and softball teams hosted Hooks as the Lady Brahmas honored their seniors prior to the game.
The Hughes Springs Mustangs added three more to the win column last week, posting wins over Ore City, Gladewater, and Cumberland Academy.
The Daingerfield Tigers continue to struggle, having scored one run in two district matchups last week. The Tigers fell to Sabine March 23,17-1, and then gave failed to push a run across against Harmony on March 25.
The Pewitt Brahmas track team traveled to Queen City March 17 to take part in the JK Hileman Relays. Joining the Brahmas were the host Bulldogs, New Boston, Union Grove, Maud, McLeod, Harleton and Bloomburg.
