The Hughes Springs Mustangs traveled to Elysian Fields Nov. 5. Despite falling to the Yellow Jackets, 37-12, the Mustangs will advance to the playoffs as the third seed in the district.
The Daingerfield Tigers, who sport a 6-0 district record, are outright District Champions after the Tigers knocked off Chisum, 50-13, on Nov. 5. The Tigers earned the top seed in the upcoming playoffs and will face Harmony Nov.11.
For some, it may have been easy to look at the first round volleyball playoff matchup between Paul Pewitt and Harmony and write one team off.
Before kicking off the 36th playoff “Running of the Bulls,” the Pewitt Brahmas had one more home game to take care of.
The Daingerfield Tigers will play Harmony in the Bi-District round of the Texas UIL Football playoffs. The game will be at Longview’s Lobo Stadium, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the gate at $6 for adults and $4.
