The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs faced off against the Prairiland Lady Patriots in the Regional Semi-finals. After the two teams split games one and two, both of which were held May 19, the two teams met May 21 in a winner-takes-all affair to see who would advance and who would see their season end.
The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs have advanced in the UIL State Softball Playoffs, despite falling behind in each of their two games against West Rusk.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers and Tigers Track teams traveled to Austin May 12 for the UIL State Track Meet. The Lady Tigers qualified in five events, while the Tigers qualified in two.
