The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs are gearing up for the playoffs after they wrapped up their undefeated district slate on April 19.
Emma McKinney, Autumn Everett, Emma McKinney, and Samantha Waller are joined by Head Hughes Springs Track Coach Brandon Green after finishing third in the 4x400M relay at the area track meet on April 20. The team advanced to the regional meet, to be held April 29-30 in Whitehouse.
The Daingerfield boys and girls track teams competed in the Area Meet April 20 in West Rusk. Daingerfield finished seventh with a total of 38 points overall in the boys dividions, while the Lady Tigers finished third overall with 94 points.
The Pewitt track teams both headed to Winnsboro Wednesday for the 13/14-3A Area Track Meet, looking to send athletes to next week’s 3A Region II track meet.
It wasn’t the season the Pewitt Lady Brahmas hoped for, but the team went down swinging in their final two games of the year.
