The Daingerfield Lady Tiger powerlifting team traveled to Sabine Jan. 8 to take part in the Lady Card Lift-Off. Three Lady Tigers lifters participated in the meet, helping Daingerfield to a ninth-place finish in their first meet of the year.
Daingerfield Powerlifting team traveled to Sabine Jan. 13 to take part in the Sabine Cardinal Strength QUAD meet. Tiger Iron finished third with 33 points, just three points behind second-place Jefferson. Host Sabine won the meet with 56 points.

The Daingerfield Lady Tigers welcomed the Sabin Cardinals to Jess Hanson Gymnasium on Jan. 4. After a close battle all evening long, the Lady Tigers came up just short, 59-58 in overtime.
Though the overall goal of a state championship was left unfulfilled for the Hughes Springs Mustangs, several players still had successful seasons, as evidenced in the number of athletes garnering All-District selection.
