On Wednesday, February 19, at 9 a.m., the Lone Star Police Department– along with multiple law enforcement agencies– served an arrest warrant for a registered sex offender after investigating a tip that he was uploading child pornography on the internet.
During a Lone Star city council meeting on Thursday, February 20, the council and Mayor Brianna McClain took an hour to hear out the people and ultimately approved the decision to stand in opposition of the Lake O’ the Pines potential sale or lease of water.
On Thursday, February 13, the Northeast Texas Municipal Water District (NETMWD) came out with an official statement, saying that they are in discussions with the North Texas Water District regarding the sale or lease of excess water from Lake O’ the Pines.
During a Daingerfield city council meeting on Monday, February 10, multiple residents of the city and county came forward during public comments to speak out against the sale of the Lake of the Pines water.
