NTCC receives $5,000 Literacy Opportunity Fund Grant to support adult education

The Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Foundation, on behalf of the NTCC Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Program, was recently awarded a $5000 Literacy Opportunity Fund Grant to support ongoing adult education services to help students improve their literacy skills and achieve their educational and career goals. Additionally, the funds will help to expand educational resources and support student success. NTCC Board of Trustees holds December meeting

The NTCC Board of Trustees met for its regular December meeting on Tuesday, December 16. The meeting opened with the presentation of the College’s 2024–2025 Independent Audit conducted by Carr, Riggs & Ingram. The auditors issued the annual financial report with no findings and reported that NTCC remains in a strong financial position, with a year-over-year increase in net position.

NTCC celebrates December 2025 graduates

Northeast Texas Community College celebrated its December 2025 commencement on Friday, Dec. 12th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This was the largest December graduation in NTCC history, with 175 students cleared to graduate. Virginia Aguilar Landaverde, a Criminal Justice major, gave the student welcome in both English and Spanish. Kainoa Adcock, who graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity Specialization, delivered the student response. Sondra Fowler and Kerry Wootten were in attendance representing the NTCC Board of Trustees Congratulations, graduates! We are very proud of your accomplishments.

Foundation receives $5,000 to establish Fred Krebs Endowed Scholarship

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a donation of $5,000 to establish the Fred Krebs Endowed Scholarship. This gift will provide scholarships to NTCC students who exhibit financial need.
