NTCA students earn MSSC Certified Production Technician Safety Certification

Northeast Texas Community College and the Northeast Texas Career Alliance (NTCA) are proud to announce that NTCA students were presented with their MSSC Certified Production Technician Safety Certification on Monday December 8,2025! This Safety certification is one of four key assessments students complete as part of the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Production Technician (CPT) pathway — including Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness.

Foundation receives $40,000 from Billy and Dorothy Hudnall estate

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a donation of $40,000 from the Estate of Billy and Dorothy Hudnall. The funds, which were donated as part of NTCC’s 40th Anniversary fundraising campaign, are being used to establish the Billy and Dorothy Hudnall Memorial Scholarship to support welding students. The Hudnalls were long time residents of Pittsburg.

Donors of Honors Northeast enable eleventh theatre trip

Since the summer of 2016, students of Honors Northeast have enjoyed the amenities of free theatre trips to Kilgore, home of the Texas Shakespeare Festival (TSF). As the directors of the TSF have expanded their offerings beyond the summer, so have the donors of Honors here, most notably Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery of Mount Vernon, extended their support for these trips.

Crockett, Talarico to face off in Democratic primary

U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Dallas, entered the U.S. Senate race on the final day to file, pitting her against state Rep. James Talarico, D-Round Rock. The Austin American-Statesman reported the difference between the two is more of style than substance, with both raising the issues of income inequality, rising prices, corruption and polarization.
