Spring commencement planned for May 16th

Northeast Texas Community College will host three spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 16th in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Both events will be streamed live on Facebook and on the NTCC website. for those who are unable to attend in person. Doors will open to guests at 8 a.m. for the 9 a.m. ceremony, 10:15 a.m. for the 11 a.m. ceremony and at 12:15 p.m. for the 1 p.m. ceremony. Graduates will gather in the Student Union Building. We look forward to honoring these students for their achievements.

Alumni Spotlight: Brenda Godoy

Brenda Godoy, a Mount Pleasant native, began her journey at Northeast Texas Community College as a first-generation college student, drawn by its affordability, close-knit support system, and strong mentorship. With guidance from faculty and encouragement from her family, she built a strong academic foundation that led to her transfer as a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar to Texas A&M University, where she earned a degree in Biochemistry in 2020.
