The Daingerfield Tigers traveled to league unbeaten New Diana on Friday night and lost in walk-off fashion to the Eagles, 6-5. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the ninth when Remi Rountree singled with two outs, scoring the winning run.
The Daingerfield Lady Tiger 800-meter relay team raced to a first place finish at the District 13-3A track & field meet in Jefferson last week with a time of 1:52.43 while Zykela Neal took a gold medal in the 100-meter hurdle race with a time of 17.85. Neal also captured a silver in the 300-meter hurdle race in 53.46.
The Daingerfield varsity boys track & field team dominated the District 13-3A meet in Jefferson last week, capturing 11 individual medals and three relay team medals.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers visited Hughes Springs back on Tuesday, April 1 and dropped a 10-0 decision to the Lady Mustangs. The loss dropped Daingerfield to 1-5 in District 13-3A softball play and 5-9-1 while Hughes Springs improved to 6-0 in league play and 18-3 overall.
