Under the brilliant spotlights of the Daingerfield High School Auditorium on Saturday, May 31, the crowd was dazzled as the Fourth Annual Northeast Texas Miss Juneteenth Pageant took center stage.
As of May 22, the City of Daingerfield announced the vacancy of a council member seat. This comes after councilman Mike Carter passed away on Wednesday, May 14.
A brand new house is available for someone looking to become a homeowner and it’s the first of six homes, part of a housing development in the works for Daingerfield. It’s the first housing project for the city in 20 years.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $25,000 from the estate of Helen Hampton. The funds are being used to establish the Charlie and Helen Hampton Memorial Endowed Scholarship, which will be awarded to graduates of Paul Pewitt High School.
