Early giving is officially underway for East Texas Giving Day, and the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation is encouraging the community to support NTCC students ahead of the big day on April 28, 2026.
The Performance Supply Company Players present “HOLLYWOOD COMES TO CACTUS COUNTY,” a hilariously fun play being performed in Pittsburg, April 17–19. Written and directed by Jodie Wilk, it is about a movie being made in a small East Texas town.
Psi Beta National Honor Society held its 2026 Spring Induction on April 2, marking its 39th year of continuous student involvement at NTCC. Hailey Petrosino of Kingwood TX was inducted in a candlelight ceremony. Asia Bayoud, guest speaker from East Texas A&M University, presented her original research titled “The Illusions of Memory”.
Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Naples Power Plant, an 850-megawatt (MW) natural gas-based generation facility located near Naples in Morris County, Texas. This facility is a crucial part of AECC’s strategy to meet its wholesale generation needs and is scheduled to begin construction in summer 2026, with commercial operation anticipated by 2029.
