The 3rd Annual Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths brought together students, faculty, staff and community members for an afternoon of food, games and friendly competition. Nine student organizations participated in this year’s event, showcasing a wide variety of creative dishes and engaging displays.
Northeast Texas Community College mourns the passing of Dr. Jerry Wesson, a founding administrator and former Vice President of Student Services, who passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 85. A memorial service will be held on May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. Following the memorial, A short graveside service will be held at 4:00PM at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.
Seven students at The University of Texas at Tyler were named 2026 University of Texas/Texas A&M Investment Management Company Scholars. The UTIMCO Scholars program prepares undergraduate students for careers in the financial industry. Marlon Hayes from Daingerfield is among the seven scholars. Hayes is majoring in accounting.
