The Daingerfield city council had over a dozen items in their agenda when they convened on Monday, September 9, two of those topics that would affect first responders in the area.
As of September 11, 2024, the burn ban on Morris County has been lifted. The Morris County Judge posted an official document, stating that on August 26, the Commissioners Court of Morris County said that all restrictions on outdoor burning in part or all of Morris County, Texas would be lifted. The document was signed by County Judge Doug Reeder and Morris County Clerk Brittany Andrews.
On Saturday, September 14, Miss Juneteenth Texas 2024 winner, Kaidlen Key, made an appearance at Daingerfield High School for a reception and meet and greet.
