Construction has started for the new Pewitt Elementary site. On Friday, October 4, the last of the three building slabs were poured and the construction site began to take on more definition.

On Saturday, September 21, six members of the Daingerfield FFA chapter traveled to Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas to compete in the East Texas State Fair’s Public Speaking Contest. One of the students was able to move up to the finals of her division. This was the first public speaking contest of the year. The FFA members who attended the competition were DHS freshmen Adrian Bazan and Khayleb Craddock, sophomores Tyson Hughes and Arryanna Evans, junior Maria Lopez, and senior Jordan Tigert. They competed in the Ag Policy Division.
