During a Lone Star city council meeting on August 15th, the removal of several members of the Economic Development Corporation was approved, as well as the appointing of a new interim EDC president.
The City of Lone Star has a new chief of police. Though it’s been a quiet process, the newly appointed Chief Ernest Hastings has started to familiarize himself with his responsibilities and the town in his first two weeks as he steps into his new role.
The Fall 2024 semester starts on Monday, Aug. 26th. Everyone at NTCC is excited to welcome both new and returning students. Below are a few tips to help students have a stress-free, successful first week at college: Visit the bookstore early: The NTCC bookstore will be very busy during the first week of classes. Save yourself time by ordering your textbooks online or stopping by before school starts. Don’t forget to pick up your school supplies and NTCC gear while you’re at it!
