Texans now able to verify identity in-person for unemployment benefit claims at USPS locations
AUSTIN –The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has partnered with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and the United States Postal Service (USPS) to offer statewide in-person identity (ID) verification for unemployment benefit claims. Unemployment claimants who were notified by TWC to verify their ID after July 1, 2024, now have the option to go to a participating USPS location to complete the ID verification.

Mount Pleasant Community Orchestra takes listeners on a galactic adventure
On Saturday, July 27, at Northeast Texas Community College, the stage lights of the Whatley Center shone bright, like starlight to illuminate the Mount Pleasant Community Orchestra as they performed. The swirl of strings, flutter of woodwinds, deep purring of brass, and the rhythmic pounding of percussion filled the ears of the audience, taking them on familiar symphonic adventures into the deepest reaches of space.
