Daingerfield puts eyes on the Tigers Friday
The eye of the Tiger made its 2023 debut as Daingerfield held its annual Meet the Tigers event at Mickey Mayne Stadium Friday afternoon. The public got a chance to see the Tiger football, volleyball and cross-country teams as well as the cheerleaders, band and Tiger Belles in preparation for the 2023 fall seasons. The Tiger football team scrimmages at Atlanta tonight. The Lady Tiger volleyball team will travel to Harts Bluff Friday. Tiger cross-country opens their season Aug. 26 in Longview.
MCC Job Fair Thursday morning
The Morris County Collaborative will host a job fair from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the MCC Building at 200 Jefferson Street in Daingerfield.
Local entrepreneur plans documentary featuring Friday Night Lights
Kaymon Farmer, Pittsburg native and Director of Student Development and Inclusion at Northeast Texas Community College, is filming a documentary showcasing the East Texas-ness of the communities he calls home and it centers around something near and dear to his heart--Friday Night Football.
