Following the Region D Water Planning Group meeting on November 10, this letter was sent to the Region C water planners in the Dallas area. The letter serves as a shot across the bow from Region D, stating unequivocally their opposition to the proposed Marvin Nichols Reservoir in our Sulphur River Basin.
Daingerfield sophomore Quin Webb is the latest Tiger to earn accolades this season. Webb was named “Student Athlete of the Week” by Longview Orthopaedics. The award was presented to Webb during Daingerfield pep rally on Nov 11.
Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD held their annual Veteran’s Day program and luncheon Thursday, Nov. 11, “honoring all who served.”
Voters in Morris County and across the state went to the polls Nov. 2. Three local races were decided in Morris County, and eight constitutional amendments were also on the ballots.
The Pilot Club of Mt. Pleasant recently donated blankets to CASA (court appointed special advocate). Here receiving the blankets are Leeann Ramirez, Ashley Roberston, and Emily Myrow, CASA of Titus, Camp and Morris Counties representatives. CASA is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide trained volunteer advocates for abused or neglected children involved in the legal systems in Texas, with the goal of achieving a permanent living arrangement for each child which will serve that child’s best interest.
