Adult Education offering free GED, ESL classes starting in February

The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and English Language programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration beginning January 20. Registration will be held at the Community Resource Center (old Mt. Pleasant High School) at 105 N. Riddle Street in Mt. Pleasant. Please call 903-434-8341 for an appointment. Neil Diamond tribute coming to the Whatley Center January 24th

Fans of Neil Diamond can enjoy a night of classic hits when I AM, HE SAID, CELEBRATING THE MUSIC OF NEIL DIAMOND, comes to the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College on Friday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m. The concert is sponsored by Kaye and JT Brison and features MATT VEE and THE KILLER VEES, a family band with decades of experience in the music industry. Members of the group have performed with many legendary artists, including Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Paul McCartney and Chuck Berry.
